On Friday evening I went to the vernissage of Ciro Andrade-Mora. Some of his pictures are currently hosted at Incodestco’s, a current global design shop in the “Südstadt” in Cologne.
Update: Unfortunately, the store closed its doors at the end of 2015. I wish the ex-owners all the best for the future.
It was a great opportunity to forget about the work week and start the weekend having a chat with great people, getting to know the artist and taking a closer look at the products in the store. As I went there last time, I did not really had time to do so because the store was about to close.
Colorful art
The bright and warm colors give the perfect spring touch to the store. If you give a closer look at the pictures, you’ll find a touch of humor in the most of them. Look at the magnifying glass on this one 🙂 .
By looking at the pictures you know that the artist is not from Germany and has a lot of sun in his mind.
The shop owners chose the perfect music and buffet to recreate the right mood. For a few hours we got the feeling to be somewhere in South America!
Ciro Andrade-Mora’s pictures stay exposed at Incodestco’s from now on until 30.05 only, so you have to be quick if you don’t want to miss it!
Current global design
Yoga clothes, radio, lamps, chairs, soaps, magazines, jewelry: current global design from everywhere in the world is the common thread. My personal crush : really cute cups from British-Japanese designer Reiko Kaneko with gold lips on it (no picture, you’ve got to get in and see by yourself 😉 ).
