A friend of mine brought me this necklace from India where she spent her holidays (the same friend from whom I became that great green blouse). I immediately loved the bright red and the gold elements. As soon as I had it in my hands, I started to wonder how I was going to style it. I created three outifts to wear on 3 different occasions : to work, on a date, on holidays.

Some weeks ago I wrote this post in French on how to wear jewelry to work. Now we have a good illustration with this statement necklace. I tried to match the main color with an item on my outfit. Blazer and bag make the look office ready. It happened to be the right outfit to try the trend « white lace dress » at work. But this dress is kind of cream and not really white.

From my point of view, that’s the most appropriate kind of outfit for this elegant and original necklace. It is the same dress as in the office outfit, but this time without a blazer. I added red lips and red nails to match with the bright red of the necklace. The gold in the necklace is also present in the scarf and of course the bag.

That’s the kind of accessory you can bring with you on holiday to make your simple outfits look a little bit more special.
